The Ebon Star Code of Conduct

General : Loyalty -  This is the fundamental virtue of the Black Sun.  All members must abide by this virtue above all else.  Loyalty means being there for your fellow members of the black sun.  We follow the ranger’s creed “Leave no man behind”  If a mission comes down to either completing the mission or loyalty to your fellow comrades in arms.  Then that is a no brainier your comrades COME FIRST!!!  Remember there will always be more missions, but there is only ONE of you and each of your comrades.

Members are also encouraged to try and hold to other Brethren Ideals such as honor, valor, trust, respect, truth, sacrifice and humility.  We do not  require you to hold to them.  Do to the fact that some missions that the  Ebon Star will perform will be complete violations of 1 or more of these ideals.

Overall, the Ebon Star is an organization bent on the making of profits. This means providing our employers with the best possible service. NO mission shall be left incomplete and must be completed to the FULL satisfaction of the employer. (unless of course if it causes a breach in loyalty which then is the only way a mission is left incomplete)

Missions: Missions will be accepted or declined based on the decision of the Command Section of the Ebon Star.

When a mission is accepted payment will be made to the Ebon Star before mission will take place.  (btw.  We do offer money back guarantee)

During the missions any spoils (or loot) that is collected will be split among the participating members equally.  Any large items collected will be turned over to the PA so that they can be put to use for the guild.  In other words if you collect a few hundreds credits and some nice blaster its yours to keep, but if you get your hands on a star destroyer well the PA as a whole could put it to better use.

All Missions must be COMPLETED fully! (with the one and only exception listed above)

When the mission is completed payment vouchers will be issued.  All participating members of the mission will receive ‘a cut’ of the payment for doing the mission.  Higher ranks will receive more of the ‘cut’ so that promotions are encouraged.  The mission payment will also go to cover the costs of the mission: transportation, armor, weapons, guild fees, etc.

Promotions: There will be no set requirements for promotion. Promotions will be awarded based on action in the field as well as within the guild. Promotions will look at the individual in all aspects. If a member is active and attends guild missions, and contributes to the guild as a whole, they will receive promotions. Going along the same line, will get a raise. Promotions will not be based on time spent in guild, but rather how that time is spent. A member who has been in the guild a long time, may be of lower rank than a newer member, based on actions and attitude.

Medals: The medals will be the same ones used for the Brethren, for a description of the medals, go to http://hammer.prohosting.com/~kinkos/brethren/medals/medal.html These will be awarded as seen fit by the Command Section.

Dismissal: Any recruit can be dismissed by the High General or higher if he/she deems that the actions of the recruit do not hold with the Black Sun principles. If there is a blatant disregard, an Admiral or even Vice-Admiral on extreme situations may dismiss a recruit. If a full member is acting inappropriately, not attending guild functions, or does not hold with the Ebon Star standards, then there will be a meeting to decide their fate. The meeting will include the Grand Admiral, High Admiral, High General, Admiral, and Vice-Admiral. If one of these can not attend than it will be assumed they support the council's decision.

PS.  This is a explanation of mission/pay rates posted on the message board by Blood Rayne

Alright, I have touched on this briefly but here is the whole deal.
When the we accept a mission, the PA/person who hired us will pay up front. If for some reason the mission falls through because of something on our end (it better not) then the PA will be reimbursed in full.

If the PA fails to hold up its end of the contract and we decide to back out, the PA will be reimbursed at most 50% of the payment. Example- PA hires us to assist in a raid on X base, PA will supply 5 members we will supply at least 6. When the mission is set to go down, PA supplies 2 people. We will assess the situation, if it seems feasible still we will proceed, if not, we will deduct expenses and a fee and then reimburse the PA the remaining. This is to keep us out of bad situations.

Now then, assume all goes wonderful (as we all know they will) and base X is destroyed. Any loot that is possible will be gathered and redistributed amongst the members, with bigger items going to the guild to be used where possible.
As for pay, Say the guild receives 30,000 credits to perform the job. Expenses will be taken out of the top, leaving say... 27,458 credits, after that a piece will go to the guild to help expansion (buildings, factories, mines,  etc..) this will vary per mission but will not be a lot, say for this one 1,458 credits leaving 26,000 to be divided up against the 6 members, this is an average of 4,333 credits per person. It will vary on rank though say, there is one Commodore, two captains and 3 shock troops the commodore will get 5,500, the captains each 5,000 and the 3 shock troops 3,500. This will help encourage people to help the guild, go on missions, and gain rank.
